Abstract
Malagasy south and south-east coast is well known to the lobster’s fisheries.
Nowadays the production decreases. A lobster’s temporary marine reserve was established by
URL, Azafady NGOs, Gold Association and smartfish in St Luce face to this problem. 17 951
kg of lobster came from St Luce fisheries among the 186 212 kg collected by the south and
south-east lobster’s society in 2014. The caught-lobsters during the temporary marine reserve
opening are involved. From June to September 2014, the PRT and fisheries in RMT was led.
And we have counted 5 893,4 kg corresponding to 184 bodies where Panulirus homarus
represented 88%, Panulirus japonicus 9%, Panulirus penicillatus 3% and Panulirus ornatus
had only 4 bodies. Lasting 4 mounths, 23 333 cages were used but only 37% of these
materials have caught lobster. Concerning the morphometric study, we have identified
relation exists between LCT-LT and LCT-PT. The most of captures weight turns between
]100; 400] g. Those weights correspond to the length between 17 cm and 24 cm of total length
(LT). 38% of production is less than 20 cm of LT and 21% of captured-females pounded.
