etudes pharmacologiques des extraits d’holothuria scabra (jaeger 1833)

Abstract

The pharmacological studies of Holothuria scabra extract present some activities on different
tests. Anti-malarial analysis, in vitro and in vivo, was shown 40% of inhibition percentage of
Plasmodium cells. The cytotoxic activity was also revealed from the test in spite of the low
level of extract purification. For the sexual behavior of the laboratory mice, it is not
significant. After purification and isolation of the active product, the spectral analysis gives
one probable formula C28 H38 O with molecule weight 390,2820g/mol. And the result of
antifungal activity is very satisfactory due to its 10mm in halo diameter.
